Be a part of the JBF Community and make YOUR sales event great! The online Volunteer schedule opens on Aug 1st.

Join other moms (and dads) who help at the sale in exchange for early shopping privileges, and earn a high percentage on your sold items!

  • Volunteers who complete a total of 4 hours earn 70% on their sold items. 
     
  • Volunteers receive 2 tickets to shop EARLY at Wednesday's Presale
     
  • PLUS Volunteer receive 2 tickets for Saturday's Half-Price Presale!

Item DROP OFF (before event)

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
1. Prep, price and organize your stuff at home (see details below) and bring to the Fairgrounds.

2. Bring your signed Car Seat Checklist, and Crib Waiver (if applicable).

3. Unload your items through the garage doors at the back of the Event Center, move and park your car, and then place all of your items where they belong on the sales floor. (Inspection happens AFTER Drop off)

4. Watch your sales grow with our real-time updates. Cha-Ching!

Plan 30-90min for drop off depending on how many items you have. Slow times for drop off are between 2-4pm on Monday.

Express Drop Off: If you're in a hurry, we can help. You simply unload your vehicle and we do the rest. The cost for this service is $10 per 100 items.  

Find more items to sell?  You can bring them to the mid-sale drop off and still make the sale!

Mid-Sale Drop Off:  Friday, Sept 21st | 5pm-7pm for everything EXCEPT hanging clothing.

 

*Consignors with 1000+ items must email Deborah to understand NEW high volume requirements. 

Unsold Item PICK UP (after event)

Monday, Sept 24th | 8a - 11a

If you have any unsold items you will need to attend PICK UP to claim them. Items will be sorted by Consignor # for your convenience.

At 11:01a remaining items are donated to our charity partner Birthline Inc of Colorado. Sorry, no exceptions!

*If you marked DONATE on your items, those will be pulled and donated on your behalf and you do NOT need to pick up.

STEP 1: Gather Your Items

Every room in your home has items that your children are no longer wearing or using. It's time to gather everything and to declutter your home.  

 

Here's where to check:

  • Attic or Basement Storage
  • Kid's Bedroom
  • Mom's Closet
  • Linen Closet
  • Bathroom
  • Living Room
  • Mud Room or Hall Closet
  • Kitchen
  • Playroom
  • Garage
  • Outside

STEP 2: Organize in 30mins of less

Once you have a pile of things your kids are no longer using it's time to decide if you should KEEP, SELL or TOSS each item.

 

Place each item into one of three tubs labeled - KEEP, SELL or TOSS (printable labels)

  • KEEP - items that you aren't ready to part with yet. Maybe you're thinking about having another child or maybe the item is too sentimental.  That's ok! Keep it.
  • SELL - Items you want to sell 
  • TOSS - Items that don't meet JBF Standards. 

When you're done set aside the KEEP tub and revisit it later. Take the TOSS tub to your local charity, repurpose the items or throw them away. The SELL tub is now ready to tag and prep.

STEP 3: Shopper-Focused Pricing

Selling at JBF lets you be in control of the price of each item. You also decide if it goes half price on the last day of the sale. And if the item doesn't sell, you can either donate the item or pick it up.

 

Successful sellers at JBF practice "Shopper-focused Pricing". Ask yourself, "What price would make me buy this item and brag about it to a friend?"

 

Charge MORE for:

Charge LESS for:

  • T-shirts
  • Play Clothes
  • Infant Items
  • Maternity Clothing
  • Junior Clothing

To sell more items we recommend that you let your items reduce during our discount days.

STEP 4: Prepping Your Items

When you are ready to create your tags, Log into your JBF Profile and click on the TAGGING icon on the top right corner of the page. 

 

Select CREATE TAGS and then grab your first item and start.

 

Select the Category > Choose the Size > Write a detailed description > Select the Price > Choose if you want it to REDUCE > Choose if you want it to DONATE > Write in the Quantity

 

Save OFTEN.

STEP 5: Drop off your Items

Bring your tagged and prepped items to the Event Center at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock.

  • Drive to the garage doors behind the building and unload your items directly into our sales floor.  
     
  • You'll be responsible to place all of your items on the sales floor in their designated places.
     
  • Volunteers will be on hand to assist you so you'll know where everything goes.
     
  • Plan between 45-60mins to Drop off your items.  Plan extra time if you have children with you.

Children over the age of 12mos are ONLY allowed during the Family Presale

WHAT YOU NEED: Tagging Supplies

Tagging is easier when you have all of the supplies at your finger tips. Chances are, you have most of these items already. Now's the time to gather them to create your JBF toolbox.

Your basic toolbox includes: hangers, safety pins, cardstock, tape, zip lock bags, ribbon.

VIP Tagging Service

Got the STUFF, but don't have the TIME to tag?!  We designed our VIP Tagging Service with you in mind.

There's minimal prep work involved AND no upfront costs.

We'll connect you with a VIP Tagger and you'll work directly with her through the process of getting your items prepped and tagged for the event.

Requirements:

  1. Must be selling a variety of items - clothing, shoes, toys, gear and baby equipment
  2. Must have a minimum of 200 items
  3. Items must be clean and ready to sell
